Job summary

Wasabi in London is seeking a Finance Analyst - Operations to go beyond reporting and uncover what drives restaurant performance. You will analyse P&L, trading, labour and cost data to identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve profitability and reduce costs.

Close collaboration with Operations will be essential as you translate insights into actionable recommendations and support implementation from analysis through delivery.

Qualifications

• 4 years' experience in a commercial or operational finance analyst role.
• Strong understanding of multi-site P&L economics and levers.
• A track record of analysis that led to a decision or a measurable saving.
• Naturally curious, with root-cause thinking.
• Advanced Excel skills with large EPOS data.
• Part or fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA, or studying towards.

Responsibilities

• Analyse P&L and restaurant performance to identify profit drivers.
• Benchmark restaurants and quantify gaps to improve profitability.
• Analyse labour deployment and test scheduling changes.
• Identify COGS, waste, and margin improvement opportunities.
• Build business cases for equipment, process changes, refits and new restaurants.
• Act as the finance partner to Operations with accountability to deliver opportunities.
