Description: Finance Analyst sought after for Not for Profit firm in North Bristol

Your new role
You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial management of the organization, helping to understand and manage key financial drivers. Success in this role requires a proactive, inquisitive individual who examines data in detail to identify trends and underlying factors. You will use analytical skills to communicate these insights clearly to stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to understand key drivers of financial performance.
• Establish organization-wide KPIs to measure performance against these drivers.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI or Microsoft Excel to support decision-making.
• Assist in preparing statutory and grant-related returns, as well as internal audits.
• Ensure income and expenditure are managed in accordance with the SORP standards.
• Support management of various funds including restricted, designated, undesignated, and endowment funds.
• Assist the Sales Ledger Manager with grant applications and management.
• Develop, review, and implement financial policies and procedures in line with standards.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and report any non-compliance to the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting or Finance Director.

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with experience in Power BI, Power Query, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience creating visual reports and dashboards from complex datasets.
• Proven ability to automate processes for efficiency.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating inclusivity and adaptability.
• Track record of identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
