Job summary

Hyve Group is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Global Ventures division. The role will deliver financials for the Global Ventures Portfolio, including Shoptalk Luxe, Bett USA and more, partnering with Event Directors to analyse revenue forecasts and budgets.

You will assist with month-end close, cost tracking and ad-hoc finance support across the division, working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting or FP&A.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience communicating financial information clearly to non-finance partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update budget and rolling forecasts monthly.
• Prepare budget templates and update actuals for presentations.
• Coordinate monthly cost meetings and track cost variance.
• Perform month-end close, accruals, journals and prepayments.
• Provide variance commentary for month end and reforecast.
• Ensure revenue reconciliations are completed monthly.
• Review Open POs, T&E and ad hoc spend for each event.
• Support on-site rebook process and weekly trading submissions.
• Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations for working capital.

A bit about the division

Global Ventures is Hyve’s dedicated accelerator unit which launches new events and supercharges new ventures. This is where event launches are born and new products are accelerated, powered by obsessive customer focus, rapid experimentation, simple decision-making and entrepreneurial energy.

A bit about the role

This position will play a key role in supporting the newly formed Global Ventures division. The Finance Analyst will be responsible for delivering the financials for the Global Ventures Portfolio, which includes Shoptalk Luxe, Bett USA, Possible Europe, LegalTechTalk USA (and many more exciting ones to come!) working closely with each Event Director to analyse revenue forecasts, track spend and develop budgets in line with the strategy of each show. The role will also support the on month end activities and ad-hoc finance support across the division.

As part of your job, you’ll:

• Maintain and update budget and rolling forecast on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy, flagging any risks & opportunities
• Prepare budget template, updating for actuals, to produce presentation materials
• Coordinate monthly cost meetings with each department to ensure they are on track to achieve latest forecast, keeping cost trackers updated with actuals. Review results with Director of Finance and post accruals or any other journal corrections required to ensure risks and opportunities are factored into the rolling forecast
• Complete month end close, ensuring tracking of event costs and preparing accruals, journals and prepayments
• Provide variance commentary against budget & reforecast for the month end close reporting
• Ensure revenue reconciliations are completed monthly
• Complete monthly reviews of Open PO’s, T&E expense, and ad hoc spend for each event
• Support onsite rebook process and tracking
• Prepare weekly trading submission
• Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations for working capital accounts related to Global Ventures events
• Ad hoc data analysis as required by Event Leadership and Finance

Here’s what we’re looking for from you:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or FP&A role
• Working knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) preferred
• Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus
• Comfortable working directly with non-finance business partners to gather inputs and communicate financial information clearly
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• A self-starter who takes ownership of their work and actively seeks to grow their skills
• Motivated by learning and comfortable asking questions in a fast-moving environment
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
