Financial Analyst - Revenue

15 Month Fixed Term Contract

Near Ipswich / Bury St Edmunds Hybrid Working

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst - Revenue to join a well-established and growing organisation based near Ipswich / Bury St Edmunds on a 15-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who has gained a solid grounding in month-end accounting and enjoys working with financial data, investigating variances and providing meaningful analysis.

Working as part of an established finance team, you will take ownership of revenue and associated direct cost accounting for designated areas of the business.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the monthly accounting close, including accruals, journals and intercompany transactions
• Taking ownership of revenue and direct cost accounting and analysis
• Reviewing revenue, costs and margins against budget, forecast and previous periods
• Investigating and resolving revenue and financial data queries
• Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
• Supporting the annual budgeting process
• Producing financial analysis and information for management and wider business reporting
• Supporting internal and external audit requirements
• Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring processes are followed
• Working with large volumes of financial data to identify discrepancies and provide accurate analysis

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, and actively progressing with their studies
• Experienced within a finance or accounting environment
• Comfortable with month-end processes, journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Confident analysing financial data and investigating variances
• Competent with Excel, ideally to an intermediate or advanced level
• Highly accurate with strong attention to detail
• Able to communicate financial information clearly to different audiences

Experience within a high-volume environment would be advantageous.

This role could suit an Assistant Management Accountant, Part-Qualified Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, Revenue Analyst or Assistant Accountant looking to broaden their experience within a sizeable organisation.
