Job description

Leatherhead – 2–3 Days per Week On-Site

We’re supporting a growing, technology-led services organisation based in Surrey that is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to strengthen its finance function during a busy period of growth.

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on revenue accounting, reconciliations, and month-end reporting, offering the opportunity to move into a permanent position following the initial interim period.

The role would suit someone part-qualified or QBE who enjoys working across the full revenue cycle and partnering with commercial teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of revenue analysis and reporting across the business. You’ll work closely with sales and contract management teams to ensure invoicing accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accurate recording and analysis of company revenue
  • Reconcile revenue data between finance systems and CRM platforms
  • Manage the end-to-end invoicing cycle, ensuring contract terms are reflected correctly
  • Perform month-end revenue reconciliations, including deferred income and debtor balances
  • Support preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Raise credit notes and resolve revenue-related discrepancies
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Assist with external audit requirements, particularly around revenue and receivables
  • Deliver financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making
  • Contribute to process improvements within revenue reporting and systems
What We’re Looking For
  • Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), finalist or QBE
  • Strong experience in management accounting or financial accounting roles
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
  • Confident user of financial systems and comfortable reconciling data across platforms
  • Strong analytical ability with attention to detail
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of Accounts Receivable and transactional finance processes
Why Join?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and commercially driven organisation where finance plays a central role in supporting operational performance. The position offers real ownership, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the potential to transition into a permanent role.
