Job summary

Altum Consulting in London is seeking a Finance Analyst to join a rapidly growing finance team. The role offers hybrid working and exposure to financial reporting, commercial analysis and business partnering.

You will work with senior stakeholders on monthly management reports, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc strategic projects. ACA/CA or equivalent, 2–3 years PQE or newly qualified, with strong accounting fundamentals and excellent communication.

I am currently partnering with an exciting, fast-growing business looking to appoint a bright, ambitious and personable Finance Analyst to join their expanding finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified accountant looking to make their first move out of practice, or someone with 2-3 years' post-qualification experience who is keen to develop their career within a dynamic, commercially focused environment.

The business is going through an exciting period of growth and is looking for someone who is not only technically strong but also confident, engaging and enthusiastic about getting involved across the wider business.

The Role

Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, commercial analysis and business partnering.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing monthly management reports and providing insightful commentary on financial performance.

Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

Analysing financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

Partnering with stakeholders across the business to support commercial decision-making.

Assisting with month-end reporting and financial control processes.

Supporting senior finance leaders with ad hoc analysis and strategic projects.

Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and efficiencies.

Getting involved in wider finance initiatives as the business continues to grow.

About You

ACA, CA, or equivalent qualified accountant, ideally trained within a Big 4 or leading accounting practice.

Either newly qualified and looking for your first move out of practice, or with 2-3 years' PQE gained in industry.

Strong technical accounting foundations with an interest in developing commercial finance skills.

Confident, personable and an excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships.

Naturally curious, proactive and commercially minded.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.

Most importantly, someone with a great personality who will thrive in a collaborative and sociable team.
