Location and Organisation

Based in Portsmouth, this forward-thinking organisation is looking to recruit a finance analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join the business, and the role will involve a mix of project accounting and FP&A, offering great opportunities for learning and development.

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?

1. Lead on project accounting across the business, including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
2. Establish financial controls and procedures for all contract cycles and projects.
3. Support the Programme Management Office with key project documents, including risk registers, milestone charts, and financial logs.
4. Assist with pricing, costing, and contract-related financial modelling.
5. Partner with key internal stakeholders and present monthly updates.
6. Perform ad-hoc financial planning and analysis to support decision-making.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Analyst role:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Previous experience in a defence business or related company.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience in a project accounting role.
