  • Ensure transactions are correctly recorded and follow internal approval procedures.
  • Maintain organised, accurate and auditable records.
  • Follow up with colleagues where information or approvals are outstanding.
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices using information and billing schedules.
  • Maintain invoice trackers and supporting records.
  • Communicate with project teams to obtain missing information.
  • Help ensure invoices are raised accurately and promptly.

Credit Control and Work in Progress Administration

  • Assist with issuing customer statements and following up on overdue invoices.
  • Maintain accurate aged-debt and Work in Progress records.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues regarding outstanding information or payments.
  • Identify and flag anomalies, aged balances and missing information.
  • Keep clear records of correspondence and agreed actions.

Finance Reporting and Payroll Support

  • Update routine finance reports, including invoice trackers, aged-debt reports and Work in Progress summaries.
  • Assist with month-end activities by gathering information and preparing supporting data.
  • Collate payroll information, including timesheets, expenses, starters and leavers.
  • Check information for completeness and follow up on omissions.
  • Complete routine tasks within agreed deadlines.

General Finance and Administrative Support

  • Maintain electronic and paper records in an organised and consistent manner.
  • Respond to routine queries from staff, customers and suppliers in a professional and timely way.
  • Assist with gathering information for internal reviews and external audits.
  • Support the finance team with other administrative tasks as required.
  • Look for practical ways to improve the accuracy or efficiency of routine processes.
  • Take ownership of allocated tasks and follow them through to completion.
