Job summary

Bennie Group is seeking a Finance Administrator to join the Group Finance team on a full-time basis at the head office in Burton Latimer. The role focuses on purchase invoice processing and broad finance administration, with credit control support and handling supplier/customer queries.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, strong IT skills (Excel, Sage200, Office 365) and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

  • Organised and efficient with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Sage200 and office software is advantageous.
  • Protean knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable: match and post invoices, liaise with sites, reconcile statements, processing payments.
  • Accounts Receivable: assist debt collection, reconcile accounts, open new customer accounts.
  • Finance administration support: intercompany recharges, weekly bank reconciliations, CIS returns.
  • Handle ad hoc duties and maintain internal control procedures.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong IT skills: Excel, Sage200 and Office 365.

Job Role/Description

We are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join our existing Group Finance team on afull timebasis. You will be expected to support various aspects of the finance function with an emphasis onpurchaseinvoice processing, but expectation is that the role will also include but will not limited to, general finance administration,credit control, supporting both supplier and customer queries. Alldutiesshould be carried out in an efficient andtimelymannercomplying withinternal control procedures at all times.

The ideal candidate will havepreviousexperience in a similar role, exceptional computer / systems skills, an eye for detail and the ability to pick up multiple tasks simultaneously and manage multiple stakeholders and activities at once. This role would suit a candidate who can work in an agile and fast changing environment who enjoys variety. Sage200 systems knowledge is desirable.

The role would suit a candidate who has strong interpersonal skills, someone who builds relationships at all levels with ease. You will havea track recordin a similar level role within a finance team. You willpossessstrong quantitative and analytical skills and have an innovative approach to problem solving. Responsibilities

In the role you will work closely with the each of the Bennie Group trading businesses, key tasks and responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

Accounts payable

  • Matching and posting invoices against purchase orders, ensuring purchase orders are being created andmaintainedcorrectly.
  • Liaise with sites to obtain and verify supplier account documentation.
  • Supplier Statement reconciliations and account maintenance.
  • Weekly and ad hoc supplier paymentsruns.
  • Creditors month end close process and reporting to Management Accountants.

Accounts Receivable

  • Supporting the collection of customer debt.
  • Liaising with clients and internal contacts to reconcile customer account discrepancies.
  • Liaise with sites to obtain and verify customer account documentation.
  • Oversee the opening of anynew salesor customer accounts.
  • Daily Customer cash receipt allocations.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of customer credit limits across multiple companies & systems.

Finance Administration Support

  • Intercompany recharges in each business unit (sales and purchases).
  • Weekly Bank reconciliations.
  • Completion and submission of CIS Returns.
  • Any other ad hoc duties.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong IT skills and experience of Excel, Sage200and Office 365.
  • Protean knowledge would be an advantage
  • Strong communicationskills with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Professional telephone manner with excellent customer service skills
  • Organised and efficient.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge/experience of the construction / manufacturing industry is desirable
  • It will be an advantage if you have worked within a Group company setting
