The Financial Accounts Apprentice will join the Financial Accounts team at the University of Southampton to gain practical accounting experience while studying towards the Level 3 AAT Diploma in Accounting. Over a 15-month apprenticeship, you’ll split time between structured learning and on‑the‑job training, including 15-20% study time.

In year one, pay starts at 60% of the lowest spine point (£16,719) and increases to 70% in year two and 80% in year three, progressing to the Level 2b Spine

Qualificações

• Motivated and detail-oriented individual keen to build a career in finance.
• Willingness to develop through an apprenticeship and study towards Level 3 AAT.
• Experience or training in accounting principles and finance processes is helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and external audits.
• Carry out day-to-day accounting activities for subsidiary companies.
• Support month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Assist with treasury activities including banking queries and cash management.
• Provide admin support to the Financial Accounts team and work on improvement projects.
