Job summary

Matchtech in Eastleigh is seeking a Manufacturing Operative for Final Assembly (Electrical & Mechanical). You will help assemble air handling units and related products, wiring looms, and ensure builds meet engineering specs and safety standards on the shop floor.

The role offers a Monday to Friday 6am-2pm shift, with a Temp-to-Permanent opportunity and pay at £13.33 per hour. You will work closely with design and production teams to sustain high OTIF and quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical directive in relation to wiring and build standards.
• Understanding of product standards and engineering practices.
• Safety-conscious with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manufacture electrical wiring looms for company products in line with production schedules.
• Uphold high build standards and engineering practices for AHUs and related systems.
• Develop, document, and maintain best practice assembly processes
• Continuously improve build processes by implementing agreed changes to suit evolving product requirements.
• Operate safely and efficiently on the shop floor, following all factory safety procedures.
• Collaborate closely with design, materials, and production teams to ensure all products meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Champion a culture of quality by proactively identifying and resolving build issues.
• Provide feedback to the technical and design teams to improve future designs and assembly processes.
• Maintain factory standards and actively contribute to improvements in layout, tooling, and procedures.
• Support mechanical installations as directed by your Line Leader or Manager.
• Prioritise the safety and well-being of colleagues and end-users at all times.
