We seek a Filesystem Engineer to give users vaults they can trust for a lifetime. Data is memory, history, and truth. A crew mate knowing his craft to ensure users own their data without compromise.

Your mission is to design the way people remember. The Filesystem Engineer designs the vaults where our users' lives are kept. A filesystem is not just storage, it is the memory palace of freedom. Every inode, every block, every snapshot must guarantee privacy and endurance to design and optimise storage systems that are fast, resilient, and incorruptible. You will make every byte secure against rot, leaks, and surveillance.

You will create a filesystem optimised for privacy, encryption, and performance across Capsule range products. You will engineer systems that combine encryption, replication, and resilience. You will protect users from bit rot, vendor lock-in, and accidental loss. The filesystem will not be a cage, but a fortress that empowers people to host their lives safely.

This work is both technical and cultural: proving that ethical, resilient storage can exist. To help forge SP, an operating system that empower users to host their own archives, servers, and backups — free from corporate clouds.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement a privacy-first filesystem.

• Background in NAS or large-scale data storage.
• Data recovery or forensics background.File systems built for decentralised storage.
