Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Bench Engineer/Field Service Engineer to repair, service and maintain wheelchairs in workshop and on-site settings. The role includes field-based work, paperwork, and strict adherence to infection control and company procedures.

Training will be provided on wheelchair engineering. A driving licence and DBS disclosure are required, with responsibilities including stock handling and attending to clinical appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• GCSE level / NVQ level 1 or equivalent is required.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure is required for the role.
• Training will be provided on wheelchair engineering.

Responsibilities

• Repair, service and maintain wheelchairs in workshop and field settings.
• Process all repair/servicing paperwork daily.
• Label and manage warranty and scrap returns.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.
• Assist with clinical appointments for repairs/servicing as needed.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and housekeeping.
