Job summary

Pertemps Newcastle, on behalf of Essex and Suffolk Water, is hiring a Water Sampling Technician in Suffolk. 6-month fixed-term contract, Mon-Fri, roughly 06:00-14:00, paid £13.45–£15.03 per hour, with overtime potentially available.

You will collect samples from treatment works, reservoirs and customer properties, drive between sites, and keep accurate records. Full training is provided; a UK driving licence is essential and DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) is essential.
• Attention to detail and clear record-keeping are important.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sampling activities in line with procedures.
• Follow a pre-determined sampling programme across Suffolk.
• Plan and organise daily workload to return samples to the laboratory within timescales.
• Perform daily maintenance and calibration of sampling and testing equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts.
• Accurately complete paperwork within agreed timeframes.
• Participate in standby, weekend, and rota duties where required.
