Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure is seeking a Sampling and Regulations Technician to carry out water sampling, on-site analysis, and plumbing inspections. The role is field-based, covering Wakefield, Doncaster, Nottingham, Derby and nearby areas, with a base in Chesterfield.

The successful candidate will perform QC tests, manage sample storage and transport, and report non-conformances to the Water Sampling Manager and Compliance Officer. DBS check and driving licence required.

• Excellent record keeping to support audits.

Responsibilities

• Carry out water sampling and on-site drinking water analysis.
• Inspect plumbing systems for compliance and safety.
• Prepare, calibrate, operate and maintain testing equipment.
• Perform daily quality control and in situ tests (chlorine, temp, turbidity).
• Visit residential and some commercial properties for samples.
• Handle storage and transport of samples securely.
• Liaise with Water Sampling Manager and Regulations & Compliance Officer.
• Participate in standby rota and other duties as required.
