Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure Limited is seeking a Sampling and Regulations Technician to perform water sampling and on-site drinking water analysis, ensuring compliance with DWTS UKAS 17025 and DWI standards. You will travel to customer homes and commercial sites, inspect plumbing systems, and report issues to the manager with a focus on safety and quality.

You will need a driving licence and DBS clearance, and may participate in standby rosters.

Responsibilities

• You will be accountable for water sampling activities in accordance with DWTS UKAS 17025 to meet DWI regulatory requirements.
• You will ensure correct storage and transportation of drinking water samples to a suitable location.
• You will prepare, calibrate, operate and maintain equipment and instruments used to evaluate water quality.
• You will conduct daily quality control analysis and in situ analysis of water (chlorine, temperature, taste, odour, turbidity) and interpret results.
• You will carry out fittings inspections to ensure plumbing systems are compliant and identify risks to water quality.
• You will undertake unscheduled visits mainly to customer residential properties and some commercial properties.
• You will deal with customers professionally and provide high-quality service.
• You will liaise with Water Sampling Manager and Regulations and Compliance Officer and report non-conformances.
• You may be required to participate on a Standby Rota.
• Any other duties as required by the manager.
