Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Quality Technician to support water sampling and on-site analysis. You will travel to customer properties, assess sampling points, and maintain strict quality controls in line with ISO17025. The role requires weekend work, standby, and early start times, with a base at Church Wilne Labs.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. The job involves home-starts, field routes, and returning samples to base, supporting public health and environmental

Qualifications

• On-site sampling of drinking water and related samples using aseptic techniques
• Awareness of environmental factors affecting sample representativeness and measurements (e.g., MZC/CRI)
• COSHH trained to prevent exposure to hazardous substances and maintain safety on site

Responsibilities

• Undertaking on-site analysis and sampling of drinking water and related samples using aseptic techniques.
• Have awareness of environmental factors affecting sample representativeness and measurements (e.g. MZC/CRI).
• Complete on-site assessments of internal plumbing to identify filters/softeners and other factors affecting samples; make on-site decisions and be COSHH trained.
