Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Technical Engineer – Generator to join its Maintenance team. The role is field-based with regular UK travel, offering a salary up to £53,000 and a company vehicle. You’ll resolve complex generator issues and support ongoing development of generator products and services.

The role requires strong generator/UPS knowledge, factory-level diagnostics, and willingness to travel; training and long-term career progression are provided within a well-established UK business.

Qualifications

• Strong practical engineering knowledge of generators and UPS systems.
• Experience in standby power or a related engineering environment.
• Willingness to undertake high mileage and regular UK travel.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineers, office teams and customers.
• Support Service Coordinators and Maintenance Projects with technical input.
• Produce technical reports and troubleshoot issues on site.
• Carry out site audits and contribute to audit activities.
• Conduct site surveys for maintenance sales and projects.
• Prepare accurate parts lists following site surveys.
• Provide out-of-hours technical support as part of the on-call team.
• Coordinate with Technical Team on product development and improvements.
• Assist with engineer training and maintain high engineering standards.
