Job summary

Clearway Utilities Inc. is hiring a Field Support Driver to safely deliver and collect CCTV equipment to client sites across the UK. You will assist installation engineers with unloading and deploying gear while upholding health and safety standards at all times.

The role sits within our engineering team as Driver Support Engineer, offering development opportunities within the business. A full UK manual licence and 21+ are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence and must be aged 21 or over.
• Strong health and safety awareness and manual handling ability.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy items (e.g. 32kg batteries).
• CSCS card is advantageous; forklift licence is advantageous.
• Willing to pass a DBS check; able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and collect CCTV equipment and ancillary items across the UK.
• Support installation engineers with unloading and deployment on site.
• Perform vehicle checks and ensure equipment is safe and charged before departure.
• Maintain clean, organized vehicle/workspace and log hours in the company portal.

Job description

As a Field Support Driver with Clearway, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of CCTV equipment and ancillary items to and from client sites across the UK. You will support installation engineers with the safe unloading and deployment of equipment, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.

This role is advertised as Field Support Driver. Internally, the position sits within our engineering team under the title Driver Support Engineer, providing an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and progress within the business.

Please note: Applicants must hold a full UK manual driving licence and be aged 21 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Equipment Delivery and Collection

• Safely deliver and collect Inview equipment and ancillary items to and from client sites across the UK.
• Ensure all items are securely and safely transported to prevent damage during transit.

Health & Safety

• Comply with all relevant health and safety procedures, including Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Ensure safe manual handling practices at all times, particularly when lifting heavy items (e.g. 32kg batteries).
• Observe appropriate rest periods and report any safety concerns to the Operations Manager.

Vehicle and Equipment Checks

• Conduct regular maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and report any defects immediately.
• Verify that all items being delivered are in safe working condition and fully charged prior to departure.
• Keep the vehicle and workspace clean, tidy, and well-organised.

Communication and Reporting

• Communicate effectively with engineers, site contacts, and the operations team.
• Accurately record working hours and activity logs using the company portal.
• Provide feedback on delivery or equipment issues to support service improvement.
• A full UK manual driving licence (minor points considered).
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and manual handling techniques.
• Physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving heavy items (e.g. 32kg batteries).
• Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments.
• Experience working in a similar driver or field support role (experience in CCTV or technical equipment delivery is advantageous).
• Good timekeeping, organisational skills, and ability to work independently.
• Confident communication skills, including explaining tasks to site contacts.
• CSCS card (advantageous - training provided if required).
• Forklift Truck licence (advantageous).
• Ability to pass a DBS check (company-funded).
