Job summary

A leading company in community care is seeking a full-time Care Coordinator to manage care schedules and support staff. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care, and a full UK driving license for traveling to client locations. You'll be part of a dedicated team ensuring clients receive high-quality service while participating in on-call duties when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering personal care services is desirable.
  • Experience of working with MAR sheets (eMar) and medication in a supervisory role.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems.

  • Build and maintain effective schedules/rotas.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), requiring flexibility, including working alternate weekends. You will also be required to participate in an on-call rota. The role involves a balance of community-based work and office-based responsibilities, shared with the wider team.

Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as the role involves travel throughout West Lothian to visit clients and support our team of care assistants.

  • Support care consultations, service reviews and client quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required.
  • Complete client care visits as and when needed, in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience in the care sector delivering a wide range of personal care services is desirable. This could be from working in a care home, as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or in the NHS.
  • Experience of working with MAR sheets (eMar) and medication in a supervisory role.
  • Highly resilient and positive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems with experience of Microsoft Office or Google Suite and virtual communication platforms with the aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies and software where appropriate.
  • Must have full driving license and means of transport to visit clients.
  • Be organised and flexible to meet the needs of the business.
