Job summary

Sonardyne in Plymouth is seeking a Surveyor for our Technology Services team. The role combines offshore survey operations, subsea positioning, customer support, system testing and data analysis to help customers deploy Sonardyne technology in real-world offshore environments.

You will become a trusted technical expert, supporting customers remotely and on vessels, planning LBL operations, analysing INS data and delivering training and technical reports as required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing technical support in a survey, offshore or related engineering environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate solutions clearly to customers.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work offshore.
• Degree or equivalent in Hydrographic Surveying, Geomatics, Electronics, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical and operational support for customers using Sonardyne hardware and systems.
• Support offshore equipment, INS and acoustic positioning operations.
• Plan and analyse LBL surveys, INS simulations, and data processing.
• Participate in customer trials onshore and offshore.
• Deliver technical workshops, training, and generate reports and guides.
