Job summary

Intelligent Resource is seeking a Field Services Engineer for Glasgow-based permanent role. You will provide on-site IT hardware support, travel to client sites across a geographic area, and handle incidents with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30, with out-of-hours standby and overtime paid per policy. A UK driving license and BPSS clearance are required, plus training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license and own car with business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• BPSS check required.
• Ability to resolve hardware issues and basic software problems.
• Build and deploy PCs (desktop and laptop).
• Strong understanding of IT systems and environments.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Attend incidents/requests as directed by the Customer Incident Centre.
• Monitor, update and progress incidents in a timely manner.
• Provide training and guidance to junior Field Service engineers.
• Coordinate between clients and vendors for timely resolutions.
• Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction in all tasks.
