Committed to safety, sustainability, and efficiency, the company delivers tailored solutions that drive renewable energy adoption at scale.

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Field Engineer to inspect, maintain, and support the operation of hydrogen tube trailers and other pressure equipment assets deployed across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or process understanding of industrial gases, experience of maintenance of pressure systems, and preferably hold an ADR certification for the transportation of hazardous goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections, maintenance, and servicing of hydrogen tube trailers and associated pressure equipment.
  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs on-site or escalate complex problems appropriately.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment condition.
  • Support commissioning and decommissioning of pressure equipment at field locations.
  • Liaise with Project management, logistics, and HSE teams to ensure timely and effective deployment and operation of equipment.
  • Participate in risk assessments and support root cause analysis of equipment failures or incidents.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum NVQ L3 qualification or relevant apprenticeship
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a technician within the industrial gases sector.
  • Proven field experience with pressure equipment, ideally in industrial gas, oil & gas, or chemical sectors.
  • Familiarity with conducting planned preventative maintenance in alignment with OEM guidance.
  • Working knowledge of technical documents & drawings including P&IDs, electrical diagrams & control logic flow diagrams
  • Experience in the generation of method statements & risk assessments as well as familiarity with permit to work schemes.
  • Good organisational & reporting skills
  • Flexible working practice including shift patterns.
  • A collaborator, good with people.
  • Familiar in contractor management
  • Willingness to travel and work independently across various sites in the UK.
  • Full UK driving license.

Desirable:

  • ADR certification for the carriage of dangerous goods by road (Class 2 – gases).
  • Knowledge of hydrogen systems and high-pressure gas transportation.
  • Familiarity with applicable UK regulations: PSSR, PED and DSEAR/ATEX.
  • Experience with mobile or skid-mounted Hydrogen equipment
