Job summary

Slicker Recycling in Newport is seeking a proactive Parts Washer technician to refurbish, service and repair our machines both in workshops and on customer sites nationwide.

Based at our Newport site, you will travel by company van, work Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities, and receive full training with ongoing support to develop your engineering and servicing skills while upholding our safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; travel to sites required.
• Proven basic experience in electrical/mechanical repair or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of the parts washer range and training on machines.
• Receive in-depth training on technical details.
• Refurbish machines in workshops and carry out field servicing.
• Assist Parts Washer Manager with field-based maintenance.
• Travel around the country in a company van and stay away when required.
• Interact with suppliers and customers while maintaining safety and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized working environment and adhere to PPE/site requirements.
