Pertemps Network Group is seeking a Field Service Technician with an electrical bias to service and commission water treatment equipment across the UK. The role combines on-site field service with workshop assembly and testing, supporting installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.
You will travel extensively in the UK and EMEA, work from home when possible, and benefit from a generous package including a £45,000 salary, on-call allowance, company van, pension and training opportunities.
Are you an electrically biased Service Technician or Commissioning Engineer who enjoys hands-on fault-finding and working on customer sites?
We are recruiting on behalf of an established water treatment equipment specialist seeking a Field Service Technician to join its team. Offering substantial training and development, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career installing, servicing and commissioning specialist equipment.
Combining extensive field service work with workshop assembly and testing, you will support the mechanical, electrical, chemical, instrumentation and control systems associated with water treatment equipment.
You will work closely with customers, technical colleagues and subcontractors to prepare sites, install equipment and ensure successful integration with existing systems.
You will be a practical, enthusiastic engineer with strong electrical knowledge, sound fault-finding skills and a reliable, customer-focused approach.
Water treatment experience is highly desirable. Experience with control systems from Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, GE Fanuc or Mitsubishi would be advantageous, as would SSSTS certification.
This is a predominantly field-based position; work will involve customer sites across the UK, with travel within the wider EMEA region as required.
Overnight stays and flexibility in working hours are part of the role. Where practical, you will travel directly from home to customer sites, with workshop attendance required for assembly, testing and preparation.
Accommodation and meals are paid when working away.
