Job summary

SNAP, part of Certas Energy, is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission and maintain electronic security and access control systems across the UK. You'll service ANPR, CCTV, barriers, and intercoms, providing first-time fixes where possible and supporting IP networking for secure operations.

You will travel across the UK with a company vehicle, delivering high-quality customer service and technical support, while upholding health and safety standards in every task.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
• Experience with IP and analogue CCTV systems (Hikvision, Dahua or iPro).
• Experience with structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning and maintaining security and access control systems.
• Servicing and repairing ANPR systems, CCTV, automated barriers, payment systems, access control and intercoms.
• Diagnosing faults and delivering first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Supporting IP networking infrastructure and associated security technologies.
• Providing technical advice and training to customers.
• Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Completing accurate service documentation and managing vehicle stock.
• Working safely and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Building strong customer relationships while representing the SNAP brand professionally.
