Job summary

White Recruitment Construction is seeking a Field Service Technician to join a growing commercial laundry equipment business. The role is field-based across the UK & Ireland and includes installation, commissioning, servicing and fault finding of complex laundry equipment.

You will travel to customer sites, diagnose faults in electrical, controls, mechanical and automated systems, and support installation projects while providing technical support and completing service reports.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of commercial and industrial laundry equipment.
• Planned and reactive maintenance at customer sites.
• Electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding.
• Diagnosing faults across control systems, PLCs, sensors, motors and automated equipment.
• Working on conveyors, automation and related machinery.
• Carrying out equipment modifications and repairs where required.
• Providing technical support to customers and resolving equipment issues efficiently.
• Completing service reports and documentation.
• Supporting installation projects and ensuring correct commissioning.
• Collaborating with the wider service and installation team.
• Travelling extensively throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays.
• Occasional weekend installation and service work.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Technician to join an established commercial laundry equipment business during a period of growth and investment in its UK & Ireland service operation.

Working as part of a growing team of field-based technicians, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of complex industrial laundry and automated equipment at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

The role would suit an experienced electrical or electro-mechanical engineer who enjoys working in the field and is comfortable diagnosing faults across electrical, controls, mechanical and automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of commercial and industrial laundry equipment.
• Planned and reactive maintenance at customer sites.
• Electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding.
• Diagnosing faults across control systems, PLCs, sensors, motors and automated equipment.
• Working on conveyors, automation and associated industrial machinery.
• Carrying out equipment modifications and repairs where required.
• Providing technical support to customers and resolving equipment issues efficiently.
• Completing service reports and relevant technical documentation.
• Supporting installation projects and ensuring equipment is commissioned correctly.
• Working closely with the wider service and installation team.
• Travelling extensively throughout the UK and Ireland, including occasional overnight stays.
• Participating in occasional weekend installation and service work.
