Job summary

United Rentals Europe is seeking a Field Service Technician (Semi-Skilled Mechanic) for our Brigg branch. You will travel to customer sites to install, commission and hand over rental equipment and perform pre-delivery checks.

The role involves occasional overnight stays, maintenance work at the Brigg branch, and maintaining safety and regulatory records. Training is provided, and a valid B-class driving license is essential; HGV is welcome for occasional driving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a van and trailer to deliver, set up and de-install equipment at customers’ sites.
• Inspect, maintain and repair equipment pre/post-delivery.
• Provide customer handover of rental equipment.

We operate nationwide so the role can be wide-ranging. This may include occasional nights away from home. At the end of the project you will attend site to check and recover the rental equipment.When not required on customer sites, you will be responsible for completing maintenance inspections and repairs at our fully equipped branch location to ensure maximum availability and reliability of the rental fleet.
