Job summary

Baxter Aerospace is hiring a Field Service Representative based at RAF Fairford AFB to support installed systems, train customer personnel, and serve as the main technical liaison on site. The role requires travel to various bases and strong networking/DoD communications experience.

The successful candidate will have bomber aircraft exposure, security clearance eligibility, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments while coordinating with engineering and customer teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with bomber aircraft is required.
• Strong computer networking knowledge and DoD comms exposure preferred.
• Background in avionics repair troubleshooting/maintenance or related field.
• Experience providing field support on military or commercial aircraft.
• Security clearance eligible and able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, manage, and diagnose network issues related to payload data distribution.
• Troubleshoot satellite communication systems, red/black networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Travel to domestic and international customer sites including hangars and airbases.
• Train customer maintenance personnel on repair procedures and inspections.
• Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries and technical support.
• Communicate with pilots and ground crews to resolve operational issues.
• Relay field data and feedback to engineering for product improvements.

Baxter Aerospace is developing next generation beyond line of sight communication systems that take advantage of low earth orbit high bandwidth satellite communication systems. This position will involve field support of installed systems, customer interactions, gathering and sharing feedback on these systems. Ideal candidate will have familiarity with aircraft network communication, red/black data networks, Link16, SCIF protocols, and troubleshooting. Background as a JICO, JDNO, OTH-T, or C4I preferred.
