Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to install, commission and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites, with regular travel and overnight stays. Based in Heathfield, East Sussex, the role offers a competitive package including discretionary bonus and extensive training.

You must hold City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualifications and have completed a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, plus a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Current valid UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification.
• Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites.
• Carry out site inspections, diagnose faults and prepare survey reports for quotations.
• Use mobile electronic equipment to access and interpret technical information.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays.
• Occasionally support workshop activities at other UK locations.
• Collaborate with other engineers and trades across the business.
