Job summary

Hydro International Limited, part of the CRH family, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the UK Wastewater Services team. The role involves installing and testing water filtration systems on sewage sites across the UK, with regular overnight stays and some workshop work.

Candidates should hold City & Guilds, a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, and a current driving licence. The position offers competitive salaries, discretionary bonus, life cover and pension benefits.

Qualifications

City & Guilds qualification in mechanical engineering.
Completed a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.
Current valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
Carry out site inspections and fault finding and compile survey reports for quotation purposes.
Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
Work at heights, in confined spaces and outside on sites connected with Wastewater (sewage).
Work away from home on a regular basis, requiring overnight stays.
Work in some of our workshops across the country on occasion.
Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.
