Job summary

Escape Recruitment is supporting an established engineering business to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for its service team in Bristol. The role involves installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding on specialist equipment at customer sites across the UK, with regular overnight stays.

You will join a team that values hands-on problem solving, offers ongoing training and real long-term career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning mechanical equipment on customer sites.
• Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs.
• Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis.
• Conducting site inspections and producing survey reports.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Working closely with customers and colleagues to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
• Travelling throughout the UK, including regular overnight stays.
• Supporting workshop activities when required.

Skills

Strong mechanical fitting and mainten

Full UK Driving Licence

Education

City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical qualification
