Job summary

Microlise is seeking a Field Service & Installation Engineer (Field Based) to support customers across Exeter and surrounding areas. You will install, service, and provide ongoing support for our product suite at customer sites.

The role includes a field-based schedule with potential weekend shifts, plus a company vehicle and tools to perform duties effectively.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar field service role.
• Experience with auto electrics and/or telematics preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience working to SLAs and operational schedules.
• Ability to read vehicle wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Microlise products on customer assets.
• Make timely visits to customer sites for installation and support.
• Perform QA and survey visits and identify suitable solutions.
• Manage inventory and ensure vehicle/equipment safety.
• Liaise with customers at all levels and report statistics as needed.

We are looking for a Field Service & Installation Engineer to provide continued support to our growing and established customer base within Exeterand the surrounding areas.

What will you be doing?

• Ensure Microlise product portfolio is full integrated into our customers assets
• Timely visits to customer sites to undertake the installation, servicing and continued support of our product suite
• Completing survey visits and identifying suitable solutions
• Completing QA (quality assurance) visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assets
• Inventory management
• Responsible for the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and all provided tools /equipment
• Liaise with customers at all levels
• Provide support to your peers and contractor resource where required
• Ensure administration is concise, accurate and professional
• Adhere to all internal process and procedures
• Report on statistical information when required

What are we looking for?

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role; auto electrics and/or telematics
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience of working to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules
• Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and ability to interpret these
• Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to relevant audiences
• Be able to work autonomously, solve problems independently and adhere to agreed processes
• Take pride in what you do ensuring quality and accuracy

Working Pattern

This is a field based role working remotely on our customer sites. Our Field Engineers work shifts on a rota basis, including weekends, to suit the requirements of our customers. Full details regarding our working patterns can be discussed at the interview stage, and upon application you will be provided with an example of a typical rota.
