Start People Ltd is recruiting a Field Service Generator Engineer to service, maintain and repair diesel generators up to 1250 KVA across various commercial and industrial sites in Lancashire and West Yorkshire. The role includes fault-finding on Stage 3/Stage 5 engines, PPMs, and on-site customer support.

The position offers a strong earning potential up to £65,000 OTE, company vehicle, door-to-door pay, overtime, pension, and extensive training to support career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience working on diesel generators.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of Stage 3 and Stage 5 engines preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair diesel generators up to 1250 KVA.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Diagnose and repair Stage 3 and Stage 5 engines.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Maintain high health & safety standards at all times.
• Provide professional customer support on-site.

The Role

As a Field Service Generator Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of diesel generators ranging up to 1250 KVA across a variety of commercial and industrial customer sites.

You will work on both Stage 3 and Stage 5 equipment, carrying out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support while delivering excellent customer service.
