ETS Consulting Ltd seeks a Field Service Engineer to join our busy team in Birmingham, covering the UK and Ireland. You will perform planned maintenance, servicing, and reactive call-outs on vacuum and atmosphere furnaces, ensuring safety and accuracy on every visit.

The successful candidate will hold an electrical or mechanical engineering qualification (or time-served equivalent), have hands‑on field experience, a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable travelling 2–3 nights most weeks

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical) or time-served equivalent.
• Hands-on service, maintenance, or field engineering experience.
• Willing to travel 2 to 3 nights most weeks, with occasional overseas trips.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to perform hands-on furnace work.

Responsabilités

• Planned maintenance, servicing, and reactive call-outs on vacuum and atmosphere furnaces, to schedule and spec.
• Fault diagnosis on site and safe, correct repairs.
• Hot zone relines on vacuum hardening, brazing, and carburising furnaces with precision.
• Electrical fault-finding and support for controls upgrades with the team.
• Accurate service reports and full documentation on every visit.
• Represent the company professionally on site in the UK and abroad, following RAMS and site rules.
