Job summary

TrinaSolar is seeking a field-based engineer to support and execute on-site installations and commissioning of energy storage projects in the UK. You will supervise site activities and coordinate with engineering and project management to keep the works on track.

The role requires a suitable engineering degree, hands-on site experience, adherence to CDM and BS 7671 standards, willingness to travel heavily, and strong communication with contractors, suppliers and client representatives.

Qualifications

• Suitable engineering degree or qualifications.
• Experience commissioning or maintaining electrical equipment on Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
• Experience adhering to safety regulations (CDM) in an operational setting.
• Strong site experience with hands-on mentality.
• Familiar with BS 7671 and 18th edition electrical standards.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills interfacing with contractors, suppliers and client representatives.
• CSCS card or equivalent.
• MS Office, SCADA and MODBUS experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel heavily to support fleet.

Requirements

• Suitable engineering degree or qualifications
• Related experience in commissioning or maintenance of electrical equipment in the context of Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
• Must have experience on adhering to safety regulations (CDM) in an operational setting
• Strong site experience and hands-on mentality
• Familiar with related electrical standards, Regulations and Legislation (BS 7671, 18th edition etc)
• Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions and stay focused/execute on goals under tight deadlines
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to interface with multiple parties (contractors, suppliers, client representatives)
• CSCS card holder or eq.
• Excellent MS Office capabilities, SCADA and MODBUS experience will be a plus;
• Must be willing and able to travel heavily in support of existing & new Energy Storage fleet
• Passion for your work, strong communication skills, a flexible and positive attitude, structured and dedicated way of working
• Fluent in English any other additional language is a plus
