Job summary

Terberg DTS is seeking an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to visit customer sites across the UK, diagnose faults, perform repairs and inspections on Terberg and specialist vehicles, and provide exceptional technical support.

You will work independently, manage stock, complete accurate service reports, and continue training to stay at the forefront of the field. A full UK driving licence is required, with safety and customer‑focused service as priorities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills, particularly in auto‑electronics.
• Experience working on HGVs, plant machinery, specialist vehicles, or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing Terberg and specialist vehicles at customer locations.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out inspections and identifying wear, damage, and potential failures.
• Completing repairs safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.
• Producing accurate service reports and repair recommendations.
• Managing van stock and ensuring parts are available when needed.
• Building strong relationships with customers through excellent service.
• Working independently while maintaining the highest safety standards.
• Participating in ongoing training and development to grow your skills.
