Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support Grant products in the Bradford area. You will survey, repair, set up and service equipment at customer sites, and provide on-site technical support to customers, installers and commissioning engineers.

Qualifications

• Field service experience across service and repair for Grant products.
• Experience with on-site surveys and commissioning of equipment.
• Knowledge of oil-fired boilers, Air Source heat pumps, Biomass and smart controls.
• Strong health and safety awareness and compliance.
• Ability to advise customers, installers and commissioning engineers on installation.
• Identify technical/service trends and report concerns to FSM.

Responsibilities

• Survey, repair, set-up, service and provide technical support on Grant products on-site.
• Attend sites to repair items under warranty when required.
• Carry out site surveys and commissioning of products.
• Handle daily administration and correspondence where needed.
• Assist in diary management with local/logistical information.
• Identify sales leads and promote training opportunities where applicable.
• Keep up to date with legislation for Oil Fired Boilers, Air source heat pumps, Biomass, Smart controls, Solar thermal and unvented hot water.

Job description

• Surveying, repair, set-up, service, and providing technical support in the field to Customers, Engineers, and Installers for all Grant products.
• Attend site to carry out repair work on products covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
• Carry out site surveys and commissioning of Grant Engineering products.
• Deal with administration and correspondence on a daily basis.
• Assist in diary management providing local/logistical information.
• Identify potential sales leads and encourage in-house training programs when necessary.
• Keep up to date with current legislation regarding Oil Fired Boilers, Air source heat pumps, Biomass, Smart controls, Solar thermal & unvented hot water and ensure professional qualifications are current.

Requirements

• Experienced and dedicated Field Service Engineer
• Qualifications in OFTEC, F Gas, Unvented hot water and Part P (highly advantageous)
• Ability to advise customers, installers, and commissioning engineers on product installation
• Technical knowledge to deal with technical issues
• Responsible for health and safety guidelines
• Identify Technical / Service trends and report concerns to FSM
• Ability to promote Customer Satisfaction throughout the department/Company
