Job summary

Mulmar is looking for a Field Service Engineer to cover the Aberdeen to Inverness area, mainly home-based in North-East Scotland. The role includes installing, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial coffee machines, with training provided and a clear progression path.

You will travel to customer sites, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and contribute to a growing service team. A van, tools, and a competitive salary with bonuses are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Basic understanding of electricity and ability to read diagrams.
• Experience maintaining electrical equipment or as an electrician.
• Experience maintaining electro-mechanical equipment.
• Field service experience preferred.
• Basic plumbing skills not essential.
• Experience using PDAs, smartphones and computers/tablets.
• Good face-to-face customer skills.

Responsibilities

• Install a wide range of espresso coffee machines.
• Attend faults, diagnose problems and repair them.
• Undertake planned maintenance activities.
• Order parts and replacement units.
• Complete records and reports on machine status and services.
• Liaise with customers and service desk.
• Explain machine faults and repairs to customers.

Field Service Engineer - Scotland (Dundee & Perth)

Location: Home based working in North-East Scotland (Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness, Perth)

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Salary: £34-36k DOE

Call out/overtime: Circa £4k p.a.

Hours: Monday - Friday with rostered weekend call outs (approximately 1 in 4)

Holidays: 21 increasing to 27 days per annum with service plus public holidays

Vehicle: Van provided; personal use permitted

With more than 30 years' experience and over 140 employees throughout the UK and Ireland, Mulmar is a leader in the supply and maintenance of some of the world's finest espresso coffee machines in offices, high street coffee shops, restaurants, airports, hotels and food retailers.

We are looking to recruit a field engineer to join our expanding team to work mainly in the Aberdeen to Inverness area with the ability to support other engineers in the central belt of Scotland when required. This role involves undertaking the installation, planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of increasingly complex commercial coffee machines and ancillary equipment.

We provide an extensive training programme tailored towards our engineers based on their level of their electrical and mechanical knowledge and expertise as well as full product and health and safety training.

About the Field Service Engineer role:

Our field-based engineers are our first line of defence ensuring the proper installation, maintenance and repair of equipment working to the highest standards, meeting our customers’ needs.

With training you will be responsible for:

• Completing records and reports on machine status and services.

It would be great if you had:

• A full UK driving licence (essential).
• A basic understanding of electricity and ability to understand equipment drawings / diagrams.
• Experience in the maintenance of electrical equipment or as an electrician.
• Experience or knowledge of maintaining electro-mechanical equipment.
• Field service experience (preferable).
• Basic plumbing skills (not essential).
• Experience in using PDAs, smart phones and computers/ tablets.
• Good face to face customer skills.
