Job summary

Midas is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and repair commercial coffee machines across hotels, restaurants, cafés, and offices. You will troubleshoot issues, provide on-site support, and train customers to maximise uptime and performance.

The role requires a strong electromechanical background with good diagnostic skills and the ability to interact confidently with clients on-site.

Field Service Engineer Coffee Machine Manufacturer

Location: E postcodes

Package:

• Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 basic (DOE)
• Bonus: Potential annual bonus of 5% of basic salary
• Company Van: Available for private use

Overtime:

• Weekend rota (1 in 4): £26 per hour
• Bank Holiday rate: £35 per hour + £50 per day standby payment

Job Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our commercial coffee machines across a variety of customer sites, including hotels, restaurants, cafés, offices, and retail locations. In this role, you will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and customer training to ensure our machines operate at peak performance.

The Person

We are looking for engineers with a strong technical background in electromechanical servicing, ideally within the coffee industry or as a field service engineer. Candidates with experience in related sectors will also be considered, including:

• Vending machines
• Commercial catering equipment
• Hot taps and plumbed water coolers
• White goods
• Warewashing equipment

This role requires strong customer service skills, as you will interact with clients daily. You should also have a solid mechanical and electrical aptitude to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
