Job summary

SOCOMEC is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the UK to install, commission and maintain its electrical and power systems, including UPS, energy storage and critical power solutions. You will diagnose issues, collaborate with clients to tailor solutions, and ensure safety and quality standards while exceeding performance benchmarks.

This role requires a strong electrical or electronic engineering background, field service experience in data centres, hands-on UPS and power electronics skills,

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent.
• Proven field service experience in critical power or data centre environments.
• Hands-on experience with UPS systems or power electronics.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electrical and power systems on site.

• Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Socomec's electrical and power systems, including UPS, energy storage, and critical power solutions
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence
• Collaborate with clients to provide tailored solutions that meet their specific needs
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards while exceeding performance benchmarks

What We're Looking For

• A strong background in electrical or electronic engineering
• Engineering education in Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience in field service, critical power, or data centre environments
• Hands-on expertise in UPS systems, power electronics, or similar technologies
• A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and customer service skills
• A valid driver's license
