Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is seeking an experienced Service Engineer with a background in machining or precision engineering. You will install, commission and service advanced high-precision manufacturing systems at customer sites across the UK, diagnosing mechanical, electrical and software issues.

Expect planned and reactive maintenance while supporting customers and training them. Ideal candidates have strong fault-finding skills, a production/manufacturing mindset, excellent communication,

Qualifications

• Background in machining, CNC, precision engineering, automation or similar.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining or servicing capital equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Confident working in production/manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
• Full driving licence and passport; willing to overnight in the UK and training in Switzerland/overseas work.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service advanced high-precision manufacturing systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Provide technical support and customer training.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Work independently while collaborating with a wider UK engineering team.
