Field Service Engineer

Region covered: North West UK

Position summary

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service business on Stryker’s products, ensuring compliance with quality systems and manufacturer specifications. He/she provides technical assistance at customer sites and documentation to internal and external customers.

What you will do

1. Repair and check electronic/mechanical Stryker products
2. Complete annual check and calibration according to MDR on customer site
3. Utilize software and technological tools to maintain records and access technical information
4. Assist regulatory affairs and customers with product recalls and safety notices
5. Fulfil Service contracts with planned maintenance
6. Deliver technical training to internal and external teams
7. Perform installation of Stryker systems at customer sites
8. Perform software and hardware upgrades
9. Document service activities thoroughly for internal and external reference
10. Ensure traceability of all field-based products through reporting tools
11. Provide technical support to internal and external customers
12. Escalate opportunities and issues during team meetings
13. Follow up on customer issues and ensure service invoicing if out of warranty
14. Schedule customer visits in cooperation with Customer Service

What you need

1. Degree in engineering, medical electronics, camera technology, or relevant experience in electrical, electronic, telecommunications, mechanical, or software fields
2. Experience in Medical Physics or technology subjects
3. Proficiency in IT (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook)
4. Up to 1-year experience in medical electronics and mechanical skills
5. Experience in hospital environment and healthcare work
6. IT experience on administrative and technical levels
7. Ability to build relationships with customers to promote brand loyalty
