Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair materials handling equipment on-site with customers across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and complete routine inspections to keep equipment safe and reliable.

The role involves planning and booking maintenance, managing your workload, and ensuring timely completion of chargeable work. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential, along with adherence to health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, repairing or maintaining MHE, forklifts or related equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and plan repairs to maximise uptime.
• Ability to complete service records, job sheets and warranty work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair MHE, including forklifts and reach trucks.
• Diagnose faults and identify repairs to maximise reliability and uptime.
• Complete service records, job sheets and warranty work accurately.
• Provide professional and high-quality service to customers.
• Plan and book scheduled maintenance with customers.
• Prioritise and manage workload effectively.
• Ensure chargeable work and servicing are completed on time.
• Maintain communication with the service team about work and reports.
• Carry out lifting equipment inspections when required.
• Carry out PAT testing when required.
• Follow site health and safety requirements and PPE rules.
