Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a field-based role covering Leeds, Huddersfield and surrounding areas. You will service and repair electric forklift trucks, mainly lithium-powered and EP models, at customer sites.

You will diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance, complete reports and paperwork, and where appropriate advise on parts and upsell opportunities. A van, fuel card, and private healthcare are provided, with full training offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts preferred.
• Experience in servicing or maintaining material handling equipment advantageous.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Able to work independently at customer sites.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair forklift breakdowns.
• Carry out planned servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Repair and maintain electric forklift trucks.
• Work with lithium-powered and EP electric trucks.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
• Complete service reports and paperwork.
• Advise customers on repairs and replacement parts.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and earn commission.
• Maintain good customer relationships and represent the company professionally.
