Description: Multi-skilled Field Service Engineer required by our globally recognised materials handling solutions specialist client to undertake maintenance, installation, and service activities on a range of MHE.
Our client is part of an established Group that specialises in providing bespoke materials handling solutions to a diverse range of customers and industry sectors worldwide. Due to continued success and strategic growth, they are seeking a dynamic and multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to join their professional engineering service team. The role involves installing and maintaining handling solutions and supporting customers across the UK and internationally.
Reporting to the Service Manager and based near Northampton, the successful candidate will perform reactive and PPM activities on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role requires a customer-facing approach, emphasizing quality service and satisfaction.
After initial training covering Health and Safety and working at height, the engineer will carry out service calls, preventive maintenance, and repairs on customer sites, communicating effectively with clients and documenting activities and faults. Training customers and technicians on equipment use and maintenance is also part of the role.
The candidate must comply with all safety regulations, assist in installation and commissioning, and work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility and adaptability to various environments and locations are essential.
Applicants should have experience in plant and equipment maintenance, particularly with Materials Handling Equipment and automatic process equipment, with a solid mechanical background.
