Job summary

Baxter Healthcare is seeking a Field Engineer to deliver service activities on Baxter/Hillrom products across defined UK regions in compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Key duties include installation, service, repair, calibration, and providing technical support while maintaining customer relationships and up-to-date product knowledge. Travel within UK/Ireland and occasional Europe is required, with 24-hour on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in an engineering field would be advantageous.
• Experience in field service engineering or a similar role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair and maintain Baxter/Hillrom products in defined area as per service docs and quality system.
• Establish and maintain timely customer communications and relationships with stakeholders.
• Log all service activity and close work orders within the same day where possible.
• Maintain and document calibration equipment.
• Provide technical support for inbound calls from customers and patients, document actions.
• Keep technical competence up to date through training and development.
• Identify opportunities for new business or growth and escalate where needed.
• Review KPIs regularly and adapt practices to maximise service level.
