Job summary

ABB Motion UK is hiring a Field Service Engineer to maintain, commission, and repair LV and MV variable speed drives across the UK. You will travel from home, with duties that include routine maintenance, fault finding, and responding to on-call emergencies for ABB contract customers.

You'll join a supportive team and have opportunities to work on upgrades and new systems, with training and career development supported.

Qualifications

• Technical training or experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Industrial background.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Fault finding experience on electrical equipment.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of new and upgraded LV/MV variable speed drives.
• Routine technical maintenance per ABB schedules.
• Fault finding and repair at customer sites.
• On-call emergency support 24/7 for ABB contract customers.
• Possible involvement in longer-term projects delivering upgrades and new systems.
