Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a leading material handling business covering the West Midlands. The role offers a 32,000–36,000 base salary plus overtime to around 40,000, a company van, Mon-Fri 8:00am–5:00pm, and extensive training.

You should have plant, heavy machinery or hydraulic engineering background; forklift experience is not required, and hydraulic systems expertise is essential.

Competenze

• Hands-on hydraulic experience is essential.
• Experience in plant, heavy machinery, agricultural, access, crane, or similar engineering environment.
• Electrical diagnostic experience would be advantageous.

Mansioni

• Service, maintain and repair material handling equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Attend breakdowns and complete effective fault finding and repairs.
• Work confidently with hydraulic systems and components.
• Complete inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard and returned to service efficiently.
• Accurately complete job sheets and service documentation.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service while working in the field.
• Maintain the company van, tools and equipment supplied.
