Job summary

Totalkare, the UK's leading supplier of heavy-duty workshop equipment, is seeking a Garage Equipment Engineer for on-site work based in the United Kingdom. The role involves installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of a wide range of workshop equipment at customer sites.

You will perform planned maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and complete service reports while maintaining clear communication with customers and internal support teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy-duty workshop or industrial equipment maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on complex machinery.
• Background in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Understanding of automation and control systems in workshop equipment.
• Relevant professional qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds) in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Ability to read technical drawings, service manuals and equipment specs.
• Rigorous health and safety knowledge and practices on customer sites.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a field team.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair a wide range of workshop equipment at customer sites.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and diagnose faults.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records; communicate with customers and support team.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and support service process improvements; train customers on proper use of equipment.
